Adam Balen is former Chair of the British Fertility Society and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist's spokesperson for fertility. He works full-time in the NHS as a consultant gynaecologist, specialising in reproductive medicine.
Adam is one of four consultants and the Clinical Lead at Leeds Fertility, which performs approximately 1600 IVF cycles per year and the full range of fertility treatments. The private Genesis Reproductive Health Clinic also operates out of Leeds Fertility.
For many years, Adam Balen has had a particular interest in the causes and management of polycystic ovary syndrome as well as paediatric and adolescent gynaecology. In addition to consulting on all causes of infertility, hormonal disturbances and congenital anomalies he performs the full range of necessary operations including complex laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and reconstructive surgery.
